In addition to being an illustrator, I am a traditionally published and self-published author. Not only do I understand all the fears you may have during the publishing process if this is your first time (I've been there too!), but you can also ask me any questions you need to during our project collaboration. I will help you in any way I can with my experience!

I want to hear your story, your concerns, and learn about your literary children. I'm not just going to draw some characters on a background: I want to fall in love with them just like you have. You can choose from different proposals based on your own ideas, and I will add others so you can evaluate different concepts. Give me all the suggestions and changes you want, and I will be happy to apply them!

Transparency

Nowadays, we live in fear of being sold something made with AI. I don't use AI in any part of my process, but as it is not enough to just claim that, throughout the process you will receive step-by-step updates and, upon delivery, you will receive a process video. And by the way! Payment is split in two parts for your peace of mind, and you'll make the second part once you've seen the finished drawing.

This is me!

My name is Alba N.F., although Kalisdice was born many years later, in 2018, when I began sharing my illustrations on social media while studying industrial design engineering.

Despite having pursued a technical field, the arts and humanities continued to hold such importance for me that I decided to pursue my passion and focus on becoming an editorial illustrator. Since then, I have worked with dozens of authors, several publishers, and some literary boxes to take stories to an artistic level.

In 2024, I managed to turn my own story into an illustrated novel. Cuando vimos la luz was published by Penguin Random House, and in 2025, I wanted to try self-publishing for the first time, with a crowdfunding campaign that raised over €16,000. I continue to write stories and work on projects that will be published by publishers or self-published.

That's why I love working with authors so much, because I am one myself. And that's also why I love answering any questions they may have about their own process.

And I think that adds something special to my commissions! Being able to talk to someone who has also gone through the tough process of publishing and self-publishing.
